Wayne Industries Site Development

In the Spring of 2015, Michigan Tech Senior Design students from the Department of Civil Engineering investigated site design and planning for Wayne Industries in Wayne, Michigan. The project focused on civil site design near the CSX-NS Wayne Junction, as Wayne Industries was looking to further develop their property. 

Students from MTU considered design options to construct a new warehouse on site with rail access, branching off existing industrial tracks, themselves a branch off the MDOT/NS Michigan Line property. Students also evaluated on-site truck traffic flows, in addition to the railroad requirements.
